Exciting times at Corgi Hosiery

We have some exciting projects lined up at Corgi over the next few months and will be using this blog to keep you, our loyal fans, updated on what we get up to.

This week, we held a creative meeting to discuss putting together a new collection of publicity and promo shots for our brand. Along with our Communications Agency mela, we met with Vicky from Cardiff and Amsterdam-based branding and design agency Smörgåsbord and brilliant lifestyle and interiors photographer Michael Sinclair.

Over several cups of tea we shared ideas about the overall look and concept for the photographs  as well as potential locations for the shoot itself which, bearing in mind Wales’ rather temperamental climate, was quite the topic of discussion!

The photo shoot is scheduled for early May and we’ll be sharing some behind-the-scenes snaps from the day via our Facebook and Twitter pages so make sure you’re following us!

In the meantime, take a look at some of photographer Michael Sinclair’s previous work – it’s truly wonderful and we are so excited to be working with him on this project.

 

Corgi Countdown Competition – Week 4

We’ve reached the penultimate week in our Corgi Countdown and so it’s time to reveal our silver medal winner.

And, the second best selling sock style in the Corgi collection is…the seven-colour multi-stripe in pure cotton.

Made from 100% soft Egyptian cotton, this lightweight sock is ultra-breathable and machine washable, so is perfect for those warmer Spring/Summer days (what are they?! I hear the British among you ask).

We’ve reached third place in our Corgi Countdown Competition, so it’s time to reveal our bronze medal winner…

And the award goes to the men’s narrow striped wool/cotton combination sock in navy.


This sock features a more muted colour palette than most Corgi fans are perhaps used to but, hey, your feet can’t be the centre of attention every day of the week! And psychologists say that wearing muted tones can, in fact, increase mental focus and encourage physical strength, so we think every man should invest in a pair.

It’s time to reveal the next entry in our coveted Corgi Countdown.

This week, in 4th place, we have the men’s Fair Isle patterned sock in red. Made from a combination of the finest wool and exquisite long staple Egyptian cotton, comfort and warmth is guaranteed when you slip these socks on.

 

Yes, we know that Fair Isle is typically associated with chilly trips to the ski-slopes and woodsy winter towns, but with the miserable weather we’re experiencing this so-called “summer”, it’s well worth having a pair of of these close at hand!

This year is all about the Best of British. And, to get in the spirit of things, we’re counting down the Top 5 Bestselling Corgi sock styles.  Each week we’ll reveal a new pair before announcing our gold medal winner on July 27th.
