New York City was the location for the latest fashion tradeshow of the season and Corgi Director Lisa, armed with bundles of socks, headed Stateside to attend the event.
Coterie is an international fashion exhibition held bi-annually in NYC. Featuring contemporary to traditional women’s ready-to-wear fashions, the event attracts big-name brands from all over the world.

Lisa was at the event to showcase Corgi’s upcoming ladies’ collection before a whole host of international buyers, magazine editors and fashion bloggers, all of whom attend Coterie to get a sneaky peek at the products that will be available in the coming season.
This is the first time in a while that Corgi have exhibited a range exclusively for women so Lisa and the design team took the opportunity to give the exhibition stand a girly makeover. A muted colour scheme and dainty floral accessories were used to create a feminine look that allowed the brightly coloured socks to really stand out.
This year’s Coterie was a hugely successful and well-attended event, giving Lisa the opportunity to meet and greet plenty of influential figures from within the fashion industry. The response to the new ladies range was overwhelmingly positive so expect to see the socks being sported by fashionistas all over the world very soon!
The new ladies collection will be available for purchase shortly but in the meantime, take a look at the existing range on the Corgi website.
Fashion tradeshow season is in full flow and that means that Corgi MDs Chris and Lisa are chalking up the airmiles travelling to some of the world’s most fashionable locations to showcase our wonderful Corgi wares.
2 weeks ago, Lisa visited Florence, Italy for Pitti Uomo. And this week she has been in New York City, for Mrket.
In a few weeks’ time, Chris will be Las Vegas-bound for Mrket round 2, before heading to Korea for another show in March.
Attending trade shows not only gives us the opportunity to showcase the Corgi brand and products on a global stage, it also allows us to engage with others working in the fashion industry. These events attract all manner of people from within the fashion world – manufacturers, buyers, magazine editors, fashion bloggers – the list goes on.

Either Chris or Lisa will attend each event armed with a stockpile of sock samples, an endless amount of knowledge about the company and the aim of ensuring that fashion industry players all over the world know all about Corgi and what we do.
This week we will be exhibiting at what British GQ magazine recently called “the most stylish tradeshow on earth” – Pitti Immagine Uomo in Florence. “Pitti”, as it is known for short, is an annual event that sees key fashion house and manufacturers from all over the world come together to showcase their collections for the coming seasons.
Our MD, Lisa will be at the event for its duration, previewing Corgi’s 2013 ranges. For a sneaky peek, though, take a look at the image below…
Well, we’ve just about recovered from a very busy seven days at the National Eisteddfod at Llandow in the Vale of Glamorgan.
The week got off to a very soggy start as heavy rain poured down onto the Maes – you’ve got to love a Welsh summer! – but the latter few days of the festival saw exhibitors and visitors alike bathed in glorious sunshine.
We spent the majority of the week manning the Corgi tradestand, located in the event’s Exhibition Hall. The venue was shared by an array of professional, voluntary and charity organisations from across Wales, representing all aspects of the country’s rich and varied culture.
The event gave us the opportunity to meet and speak with numerous existing Corgi fans as well as a whole host of new ones. And a few famous faces even popped by to say hello!
We had a really great week and would just like to say thanks to all of those who came by and helped make it so enjoyable.
Here are a couple of snaps from the event…
The Corgi stand being manned by 12 year old Josh Jones – MD Chris’ son and Corgi’s newest salesman! He’s the sixth generation of the Jones’ family to join the Corgi fold.
Mr Go Compare himself, Wynne Evans – a self-confessed Corgi obsessive – clutching the latest additions to his Corgi collection.
Fellow exhibitor Mari Thomas made use of one of our luxury cashmere wraps to showcase her beautiful jewellery.
